Gardener/ Horticulturist

We would love to hear from qualified and experienced gardeners looking for a new challenge and would like to work with a supportive team. We would also encourage anyone who enjoys gardening and wants to pursue a career in horticulture, as we focus on developing skills and techniques to keep in line with modern research and practices

We would also love to hear from people who would like a career change or simply enjoy working in gardens and want an opportunity to work outside.

We strive to have a high level of plantsmanship, plant identification and use of best horticultural practices with enthusiasm, a personable approach to gardening tasks and working with clients to develop each garden to the highest level.

The Role -

  • All-round garden maintenance and aftercare tasks often working within multiple gardens a day.

  • Garden Landscaping - Mainly soft landscaping, planting, clearing, turning, and minor construction such as edging pathways.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Knowable of plant species, soil type and pest/ disease Management - training will begin to further knowledge

  • General working hours will be 8 am-5 pm (potential for flexible hours between school runs)

Location - South Somerset

Employment type - Freelance or Part-time (potential to lead to full-time). in most cases, we can offer flexible hours to work around school runs/ holidays if required.

We pay £24,000+ (pro-rata) depending on skills, experience and performance.
